Draft It

Sample pattern: A-line midi skirt

Drafted against a fictional "Women's Medium" digital twin. Every line below was computed from real body measurements in millimetres, then rendered at true scale. Pan, zoom, and toggle seam allowance to explore.

1. Prepare your fabric

Prewash and press your fabric. Fold it right sides together along the grainline. You'll need roughly 1.5 m of 140 cm-wide medium-weight woven (linen, cotton twill, or ponte).

2. Lay out and cut the pieces

Place the Skirt Front on the fold as marked. Cut the Skirt Back twice — mirrored. Transfer all notches, dart legs, and the grainline to your fabric.

3. Stitch the darts

Fold each waist dart right sides together, matching dart legs. Stitch from waist edge tapering to the point. Press darts toward centre.

4. Join side seams

With right sides together, stitch the front to the back at each side seam using a 15 mm seam allowance. Finish seam edges and press open.

5. Waistband and hem

Attach a straight-grain waistband, understitch, and topstitch. Finish the hem with a double-turned 20 mm fold, pressed and edge-stitched.

In the real app, these steps are generated by AI against your specific measurements and the pattern's actual piece list.
